John Deere has been with SteelMaster for eight years and is currently a National Sales Manager in the residential department. In that time, he has sold projects ranging from homes, garages, workshops, aircraft hangars, sheds and more.

John says his military upbringing not only shaped his work ethic but has helped him in his career because he is able to build rapport with his customers from all walks of life.

In addition to working with customers, John says he enjoys the versatility of the projects he assists customers with.

“Every day is different. No two projects are the same,” John said.

SteelMaster customers Luke and Kelly Rompel dreamed of a perfect Quonset home on 26 acres of land. Originally considering a tiny home, they needed more space for their growing family. They connected with John Deere and purchased two buildings. The first, a garage, was a successful “test run” erected in 16 hours with the help of ten people. Luke, confident in his skills, assembled the second building, their home. He documented the process on TikTok, and many videos went viral!

Kenny called into SteelMaster looking for a building to use as an “ultimate dude cave” to store his Can-Am Snow Mobile. Due to the high elevation of the Utah mountains and 80-foot snow load, John needed to engineer a building that would meet the requirements. John was able to design the blueprints and have the building delivered within only eight weeks! Upon delivery and assembly, Kenny customized his building, and now he has his ultimate dude cave.
